Merriman’s Maui Wedding

I don’t even know where to start with Val & Brett’s destination Maui Merriman’s wedding! The entire day was so perfect. We started with the girls getting ready at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. This is one of my favorite hotels on Maui because it’s in a quiet area that really gives you the luxurious and remote vacation feelings. It’s also a 2-minute drive from their Merriman’s wedding venue.

Val & Brett met in college and have been inseparable since. Their wedding party was full of their college friends which made for such a good time. Everyone was so excited to be on Maui celebrating these two babes.

One of my absolute things about the day was the music selection. Rather than picking more traditional songs for the processional and recessional, they did all FUN songs. Brett walked down to a Kygo song and everyone was cheering him on and giving him high fives. I loved that they did something a bit untraditional because it totally set the fun mood for the day.

I love weddings at Merriman’s Maui because the venue has SO much to offer. After the ceremony and cocktail hour on the ocean-view deck, we headed down to the rocks for couples portraits. It was just a few minutes away from the cocktail hour so Val & Brett could still hear all of the music playing. After our sunset portraits, we headed back to the reception that was inside of the Merriman’s Maui restaurant. Val & Brett did a buyout at the restaurant so the entire venue was reserved just for them.
