We had planned a long adventurous shoot to visit grassy cliffsides, waterfalls, and the beach. That all changed when we had the rainiest 2 weeks ever on Maui (and all of Hawaii). Gianni & Derek were such champs and had to problem with a last-minute change of locations. Honestly, these two could make a dumpster shoot look like it belongs in Vogue.
We started the session at my favorite secret patch of tropical greens in Wailea and we ended at the beach. The Wailea area is actually a dessert (Hawaii’s not all lush!), so finding this patch of greenery was like hitting the jackpot.
After we were done hanging out in the plants, we headed to the beach! Gianni & Derek really wanted to end their session in the water. If you follow me on Instagram (here!), then you know I love it when my couples want to get in the water. It’s just such a fun way to end a session. We were the only ones at this secret beach which made the experience even better. We all rolled around in the sand and got soaking wet in the process. It was SO. MUCH. FUN!
